The
Course includes:
How a team is made up, the various roles within
the team, how to be more competent with the firearms that are
used, accessing the maximum threat within the entry area, basic
room entry drills, including the use of ‘stun-grenades, engaging
and shot placemen, stoppage drills and ‘man-down’
techniques.
The
last thing we want is casualties, however we have to have
contingencies for this so a course on Fast-First-Aid and Casevac is also introduced
Basic Building Assault and
Multiple Entry.

We
introduce and train you in the serious planning and logistics
that is needed in the assault of a protected building.
How
to assess multiple entry points, including the obvious like
doors and windows ( to actually effect an entry via a window is
no simple task ) together with distraction devices.

We
teach a number of methods of entry that include assault ladders,
swarming rope and abseil techniques.
We
show you the equipment that is used and how to use that
equipment, taking you step by step to being an efficient and
effective unit that is capable of responding to the many threats
that nowadays confront military and police through out the
world.

Suicide by Cop
.
The Course:
.
Raises
officer’s and supervisors awareness, understanding, and
recognition of the phenomenon commonly referred to as
Suicide by Cop. It describes what constitutes a
Suicide by Cop incident and addresses the belief that
these incidents are often no win situations for
responding police officers.
The
course assesses the ability of call intake personnel,
dispatchers, and first responders to recognize a
potential Suicide by Cop incident. It teaches
frequently observed behaviours, common myths and
realities associated with suicidal conduct. It
discusses methods for identifying and dealing with these
events, with an emphasis on police officer and bystander
safety.
The
course identifies tactical considerations and discusses
alternatives for handling potential Suicide by Cop
incidents. It uses videotapes to show actual Suicide
by Cop occurrences, re-enactments and discusses current
events. It will explain what is a Psychological
Autopsy and the investigative methods to use in
determining if in fact a Suicide by Cop incident has
occurred. Finally, the course examines the
psychological impact on the involved police officers and
their related agencies and possible litigation issues
for both.
